NEVSEHIR UNIVERSITY URGUP SEBAHAT AND EROL TOKSÖZ VOCATIONAL SCHOOL INTERNSHIP DIRECTIVE

AIM

Article 1. The purpose of this directive; To reinforce the theoretical knowledge and experience gained during the education period of the students studying at Nevşehir University Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School, to develop the skills and experiences gained in laboratory and workshop practices, to enable them to recognize their responsibilities, relations, organization and production process and new technologies in the workplaces they will work.

SCOPE

Article 2. This directive covers the practices and principles regarding the education, practices and internships that Nevşehir University Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School students will do in domestic public institutions and organizations and private organizations and abroad.

This directive was published in the Official Gazette dated May 22, 2002 and numbered 24762 with the “Regulation on Principles and Procedures Regarding the Education, Practice and Internship of Vocational School Students in the Vocational and Technical Education Region” and Official Gazette dated 24 July 2007 and numbered 26592. It has been prepared in accordance with Article 23 of Nevşehir University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations published in the Gazette. The provisions of Nevşehir University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education Regulations are applied in matters not included in this directive.  

DEFINITIONS

Article 4. Mentioned in this directive;

Vocational School: Nevşehir Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School,

 Vocational and Technical Education Region (METEB): Nevşehir Vocational and Technical Education Region,

 

            Workplace: Vocational high school intern students, who are able to practice in accordance with the requirements of the program in which the student is studying and the education expected from that program, and who are found to be suitable and sufficient in terms of physical and qualitative capacity, reinforce their knowledge and experience gained during their education through internship, and which produce goods and services. private sector institutions and organizations,

 

Instructor Personnel: Person who has professional competence, is responsible for the education of students in the workplace, knows and applies vocational education methods and techniques, and has the ability to teach at workshops, laboratories, and vocational courses in vocational schools,

 

Vocational School Internship and Education Implementation Board: Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School Internship and Education Implementation Board,

 

Inspector Lecturer: The deputy director of workshops, laboratories and vocational courses, who are assigned with the determination of the working areas in the enterprises to be benefited in vocational education, the planning, coordination and monitoring of the training, and the permanent instructors of each program,

VOCATIONAL SCHOOL INTERNSHIP AND EDUCATION APPLICATION BOARD

 

Article 5. Under the presidency of the School-Industry Coordinator determined among the assistant principals by the vocational school located in the vocational and technical education region; It consists of department heads and program coordinators of the vocational school.

 

Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School Internship and Education Implementation Board may establish study commissions for programs and units it deems necessary. This board holds at least three meetings a year and reports the results of the meeting to the University Internship and Education Implementation Board.

 

 

DUTIES OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL INTERNSHIP AND EDUCATION APPLICATION BOARD

Article 6. The duties of the Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School Internship and Training Implementation Board are as follows:

 

To organize meetings in order to ensure that college students receive the necessary preliminary information in order to ensure that they do internships in line with the provisions of this directive,

Organizing the timely arrangement and preparation of the printed documents to be used in the internship,

To cooperate with the relevant units in providing internship places for students,

 

To distribute the students to the internship places in a balanced way,

Supervising internships,

Evaluation of internship studies,

Organizing interviews and applications related to internship, if deemed necessary.

 

 FINDING AN INTERNSHIP

Article 7. Notified by the public institutions and organizations within METEB and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the University Internship and Education Implementation Board; The quota allocated to Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School for each program is filled according to the supply and demand numbers of the intern student quotas that they can accept during the relevant year, taking into account the success order of the students. The student who does not use the quota allocated to him for any reason, is replaced by the same method.

Students who cannot find an internship place within the framework of the internship quotas allocated to Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational Schools within METEB have to find their own workplaces where they will do their internship in Turkey or abroad. The student who finds an internship in this way applies to the Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School Internship and Education Application Board with the relevant documents. After the approval of Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School Internship and Education Implementation Board, they can start their internship. The number and fields of students who cannot find an internship place due to the lack of quota are reported to the University Internship and Education Implementation Board.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUESTED FROM STUDENTS TO DO INTERNSHIP

Article 8. In order to start the internship, the students who will do the internship must apply to the Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School Internship and Education Application Board with the documents stated below.

 

 

 

a) The student must submit the application document showing that he/she wants to do internship to the relevant advisor lecturer at least 5 (five) days in advance.

b) A CV document showing the courses taken by the student and previous internships.

 

OPPORTUNITIES TO BE PROVIDED TO STUDENTS DOING INTERNSHIP

Article 9. Enterprises that will accept intern students ensure that intern students also benefit from the opportunities they provide to their own personnel. For this, they make maximum efforts to meet the accommodation and nutrition needs of the intern students and to benefit from the social opportunities of the institution.

Pursuant to Article 5 of the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law No. 5510 and the amendment made to the Vocational Education Law No. 3308 (Amendment: 17/4/2008-5754/51 art.), “For students who are subject to internship during higher education, The education institution is obliged to pay premiums.” is called.

Again, Article 24 of the Law No. 6111, which entered into force by being published in the Repetitive Official Gazette dated February 25, 2011 and numbered 27857, and the subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph of the first paragraph of the Law No. 5510 were amended. Work accident and occupational disease insurance is applied. Those listed in this paragraph are deemed to be insured within the scope of subparagraph (a) of the first paragraph of Article 4, and general health insurance provisions are also applied to those who are not in the position of dependents. provision has been made.

For this reason, during the internship of Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School students, the "Work Accidents and Occupational Disease" insurance premium and the "General Health Insurance" premium for the students who are not responsible for them are also paid by our University to the Social Security Institution. Therefore, there is no financial burden placed on either the student doing the internship or the workplace where the internship is done. Despite this, the responsibility of the students who start their internship "without insurance" without informing the internship consultants of Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School will primarily belong to the business and students where they do their internship.

   INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Article 10. Students are required to do internships in order to develop their skills to apply the knowledge they have learned theoretically at Ürgüp Sebahat and Erol Toksöz Vocational School in the relevant sectors and to gain work experience. Each student must successfully complete the internships required in accordance with the provisions of this internship directive in order to graduate. Students who have not completed their internship despite being successful in all courses are obliged to renew their registration by paying their tuition fees at the beginning of each semester. If the students who come via horizontal transfer cannot document that they have done their internship in accordance with the directive, they have to make up for their deficiencies or do their internship again.

INTERNSHIP TIME AND DURATION

Article 11. The duration of the internship is 30 (240 hours) working days in total. It is essential that the students who continue their education do their internship in the months that coincide with the semester and summer vacation. Students who do not have an attendance requirement, have extended a semester or have completed all their courses but have not yet completed their internship can start their internship at any time. Students who cannot do their internship in the relevant semester for any reason can also complete their internship in the following semesters.
